#201 Animal Magic

Kim is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Animal Magic.

If you are in the UK are you singing the theme song and picturing Johnny Morris??? LOL

We would love to see your creations based on an animal theme. Please make sure that your project has an animal large enough for us to see, we are excluding insects in this one, so no bugs, butterflies, bees etc. will count as animals. Your project may still have them, but not as the animal, so you will need to add something other than an insect to meet the challenge theme.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it's matches our Animal theme.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Kim

I chose to stamp a dazzle (yes, that is what you call a group of zebras according to Google!!) of zebras for my Animal themed card.

Josephine

A variety of inks; Distress, Memento and Versafine, masks and stamps from various manufacturers and a wintry landscape is the result.

Judy

I used an old rubber stamp from my collection of a Moose by a company called Earth Art. I used Copics, Pitt pens and a gelli pen to colour my image then added a few gems, glitter and sentiment to complete the card.

Mary

I have used a Bugaboo digi called winter penguin trio and coloured it using Promarkers, adding Liquid Pearls to the falling snow.

Glenda

I created this card to show the magic sight of a mother and her young on a peaceful lake. The swan and the lower foliage were ink stamped and the sky and water is hand sponged..

Angela

Oxide inks and Tim Holtz stamps and dies created the kitties. Stickles glue and coloured gems completed the card. Happy crafting, Angela xXx

Marlene

I have used a Stampendous Stamp and an X-Cut Die for the Trees  lots of White Glitter and a LOTV Sentiment

Maike

I have used these cute mice from a rather new Gerda Steiner Designs set. I love their content little faces. For the background scene I created some hills with Distress Inks and added a wooden house free hand using Copics.

Margaret

My card was made with layers of paper, lace, tulle and string. The little reindeer is a chippie from 2Crafty Chipboard and to this I have added a bauble sentiment from Scrapmatts and a cluster which includes a handmade poinsettia, a tiny pine cone and some die cut branches.

Have a lovely day!! xx

#200 Anything But a Card

Angela is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Anything But a Card.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, but NOT a card.

Hi all. For this project I've made a Star Book. Started with a Masterboard, no surprise there! A variety of different stamps and Tim Holtz dies then completed the front covers with some brass embellishments. You are going to love the designs my team mates have come up with and I look forward to visiting you all to see what you've made too.

Happy creating, Angela xXx

Josephine

Crafty gift personalisation! A friend really wants one of these cream jugs for her kitchen, and Amazon obliged. But it looks quite plain, so I added some tissue paper and stuck to that, some hand-made paper flowers. Nothing permanent - it'll just lift out so she can put real flowers in it when she gets it home.

Jackie

My project is a decorated gift box. It is hexagonal in shape, and I bought the plain box from The Works for a couple of pounds. I painted and stencilled the outside and decorated the top with paper flowers and a nice big bow!

Judy

My project is a Christmas Tealight Holder although I think I may use it as a hostess gift at Christmas filled with candies. I used an old pattern I had for the Tealight holder but modernized the process by using cutting dies to make the box windows. The images are by Bugaboo Digital Stamps.

Glenda

A simple creation using a fold out blank white box which I covered with Christmas paper and decorated with a die cut border and left over Christmas decorations.

Mary

I have made a gift box using Tattered Lace's handbag die and decorated it using the lavish poinsettia die and the Charisma ivy die and CD ROM also from Tattered Lace.

Margaret

Hello everyone. For this Challenge I chose to create an Art Journal page. I applied texture paste through a stencil and then used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals for the colour. Added some stamping, a doily and a strip of lace along with a chipboard frame, a re-coloured flower and some prills. The quote was one I found on the net and simply printed out. Haven't the rest of the team come up with some fabulous creations! Looking forward to seeing yours. Have a fabulous day!

Today I made flowers from white foam. I coloured them with oil pastels. I added texture to the leaves with a mould.

Kimx

I chose to make some picture frames as presents, and to show off the littlest Grandchildren of course.

Marlene

I chose to make a gift bag with my We R Memory Keepers Punch Board

and a Dis Digi Designs Candibean Stamp and a Spellbinders Die

June

Something completely different and another hobby of mine. I made this cake for a friend's granddaughter's first birthday/christening day. It is covered in a very pale lemon sugar paste and, apart from the ribbon, was all edible
