Challenge 86 Masculine Birthday Featuring Technology or a Gadget

Welcome to our latest challenge, hosted by Rebecca, who has chosen the theme 'Masculine Birthday with a technology or gadget feature'

Rebecca would like to see a masculine birthday card that features some technology or a gadget. Some examples of this would be a computer or games console - technology; rocket or car - gadget. I am sure you can think of others too.

Please ensure that you do add the technology or gadget feature to qualify for a Winner or Top 5 slot.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RULES BEFORE ADDING YOUR CREATION AND CHECK IT MEETS THE CRITERIA AS LAID OUT ABOVE - ANY ENTRY NOT COMPLYING WILL UNFORTUNATELY BE REMOVED

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

THE STAMPMAN
We are kindly sponsored for this challenge by The Stampman (and Lady of course!) who are offering the winner a £10 voucher for their store, you can spend this online, in the shop or if you're lucky enough to see them at a show!  They have a ton of items in store, enough to tickle any crafty taste bud.

Here is how the team interpreted the challenge:-

Rebecca
For my card I have used a Kirsty Wiseman alien and rocket stamp and a Papermania sentiment. Whilst the card is quite CAS there is a lot of layering and detail in the image and sentiment- perfect for a man, young or old.

Fiona
For my card I have used a Mo Manning digi stamp called "Computer Guy" which I coloured with my ProMarkers. As the image is quite detailed I left the rest of the card quite plain except for a bit of embossing and some silver nail heads.

Viv
I used a Just Inklined stamp of a steam engine called 'Old Chuffa'.

Josephine
I've used a Kenny K image for this one. I made the background and sentiment in Photoshop Elements, and printed the character separately. It's coloured with Promarkers and layered on top with some shaping.

Doreen

I've used an alien image from the video game "Space Invaders" to accent my CAS one layer masculine birthday card.

I have used a black and white Kanban image of a vintage truck for my project - and kept with the monochrome theme through the rest of my card.

Another clean & simple card from me. I think kraft card works well for masculine cards. The penny farthing and sentiment stamps are both Stampin' Up and I also used a scrap of antique map DP.

Still using up my stash - this card was made using items from either a Kanban or Hunkydory kit and simply layered up onto a 6 x 6 inch base card.  The bike and the helmet are the "technology/gadget" element that fits the challenge.

I have used a Digi Stamp called Resting Dude from Sans Design. It is coloured with Promarkers and I Paper Pieced the tree with some velum printed with a bark design. The Backing Papers are From First Edition - Animal Antics

A simple card made with masking technics to get  two Magnolia stamps together and colour them with my Letraset markers. Brads from Papermania Chronology range is used for decoration and the sentiment says "Happy Birthday" in Swedish. Designer papers are from my favourite pad for boys cards called Wander from Basic Grey.

A card for my camera mad husband. The house mouse rubber stamp has been coloured with spectrum noir pens and mounted onto some Avec deco designs backing papers.  The sentiment I printed and cut out with a crafts too die.

Made with Kanban papers, die cuts and a wooden embellishment.

I used CTMH "Later Sk8r" papers and their stamps "In Gear" and "Fast & Furious". The flags in the top left were made with Creative Memories Border Making System using the "Banner Chain" cartridge.

I have used a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp coloured with ProMarkers on watercolour paper. The background paper is from Papermania's new Chronology set. I've debossed the black card base using an embossing folder to add texture.

I have used different of stamps ( Tim Holtz , Studio G and no Name ).
And X-Cut  - Chronology - Cogs Die cuts .This Card is for my Dad's Birthday.

Kimx
Like Sharon I have used a Lili of the Valley image, only mine is a pre-coloured die cut. I have added faux stitching, Card Candi and some brads shaped like spanners.

I spotted this knitted motorbike online ages ago and have been waiting for the perfect occasion to use it. I figure an old angel's birthday was spot on! Papers are from Bo Bunny's Enchanted pad, charms from my stash.

I have used a Mo Manning digi stamp for my card called "Video Boy" for my card. The papers are from DCWV's "Generation Tech" stack and I finished the card with some dew drops which I think look like controller buttons.
